By accessing or using unim8, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), and that you have read, understood, and accept these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the platform immediately.

unim8 is an online platform that connects prospective international students and their families (“Students”) with current international students (“Mentors” or “Guides”) for one-on-one video sessions. We act as a marketplace and do not directly provide education services or guarantee specific outcomes from sessions.

• You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
• One individual may not create multiple accounts.

• Booking a session creates a binding agreement between you and the assigned Mentor.
• All prices are listed in USD unless stated otherwise.
• Payment is processed securely through our third-party payment provider.
• Bookings are confirmed only upon successful payment.
• Session times and dates are displayed in your local time zone.
• unim8 retains a service fee from each transaction to maintain the platform.

• Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the session start time are eligible for a full refund.
• Cancellations within 24 hours of the session may receive a 50% refund at our discretion.
• No-shows (by either party) are handled case-by-case — contact support@unim8.com within 48 hours.
• If a Mentor cancels, you will receive a full refund or priority rebooking.
• Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days.

All users must behave respectfully on the platform. The following are strictly prohibited:

• Harassment, abuse, or discrimination of any kind
• Sharing of explicit, offensive, or illegal content
• Attempting to conduct transactions outside the unim8 platform
• Impersonating other individuals or misrepresenting your identity
• Collecting or misusing other users' personal data
• Violating any applicable laws or regulations

Violations may result in immediate account suspension and legal action where appropriate.

All content on the unim8 platform — including logos, designs, text, and software — is the property of unim8 and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

By submitting content (such as feedback or reviews), you grant unim8 a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content on our platform.

The platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Information provided by Mentors is accurate or complete
• The platform will meet your specific requirements

To the fullest extent permitted by law, unim8 shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to unim8 in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless unim8 and its officers, employees, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform or violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which unim8 is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the applicable courts.

We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent banner on the platform. Continued use of unim8 after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
